Dave Gibson is a professional trainer, educator and facilitator with 30 years of experience. He began his career working as an instructor and course director with Outward Bound in 1978.
Dave spent several years as a teacher before joining the Ontario Public Service in 1989 to act as an education and training specialist. In 1996, Dave began his own business offering services in team and leadership training, process facilitation and technical writing. Dave has worked on projects with Summit Training since its inception and is pleased to have joined the core Summit Team as a program director.
Dave's formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (Honours), a Bachelor of Education and Ontario Teaching Certificate. He also holds certifications in training, curriculum design and facilitation, including Emotional Intelligence, Identity Mapping, Extended DISC and high ropes course facilitation.
Dave has designed and delivered team and leadership training courses for large and small organizations in the public and private sector, and lasting from one to eight days. He is a leadership facilitator for the Canadian School for Public Service and for the University of Edinburgh full time MBA program.
Dave is a masters athlete and a Nordic ski coach. He has worked with many teams of athletes who have excelled on a provincial level.
