The Program:
Are your team members locked in conflict? Does your team spend too much time “storming” and too little time truly performing? This session will introduce team members and leader to positive ways of looking at our differences, resolving conflict, and finding common ground in the team setting. We will explore the variables at play in all conflict situations including:

  • Personal conflict style preferences
  • Types of conflict
  • Resolution strategies

Participants will identify their own preferred conflict management style, learn to identify types of conflict and apply a variety of resolution strategies through role plays and case studies. In the full day session we will also look at useful tools such as active listening and effective feedback.

Format:
Summit applies a blended learning approach to fully engage all learning styles. This session includes:

  • Lightly active challenges and related debriefs
  • Models related to conflict, communications and feedback
  • A self-assessment of preferred conflict management strategies
  • Case studies, exercises and discussions customized to your workplace

Full Day (6-7 training hours)

Outcomes:
Team members will:

  • Understand and value each person’s unique contribution to the team
  • Learn to recognize and assess diferent conflict situations
  • Employ a variety of conflict management techniques

The team will:

 

  • Avoid unwarranted conflict and learn to benefit from healthy opposition
  • Effectively manage conflict situations
  • Seek win/win solutions
